Based on the 1980 musical drama film Fame, the story follows the lives of students at the High School of Performing Arts as they deal with love, jealousy, and their individual struggles to be the best; all the while discovering that it takes more to be a performer than just knowing the steps! The award-winning 1980 film was soon adapted for the stage by American writer David De Silva, and has been performed in multiple countries the world over.
The all-new adaptation of FAME is one for all the ages, and will feature awe-inspiring choreography by Kate Wormold, music by Steve Margoshes (including Best Original Song “Fame”), and will be presented by The Musical Theatre Summer School under direction of musical theatre director Tim Hill.
