From November 1 to 9, 2014. athletes and sports fans from all over will flock to the Gold Coast for the Pan Pacific Masters Games.
An anticipated 11,000 participants from Queensland, interstate and overseas will converge on the Gold Coast to compete in this major multi-sport event which has stamped itself on the calendar at the beginning of November every two years.
Participants at the Pan Pacs, as the Games are affectionately known, compete in their age group with no qualifying standards to enter. The only criteria for entry is a minimum age for each sport, which for the majority is 30 years of age.
The biennial event is a celebration of master's sport with both fierce and friendly competition including a jam-packed entertainment program at the official Games Village.
The Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre will be the official Games Village for the 2014 Pan Pacific Masters Games. It will feature live nightly entertainment, fully catered hospitality and a venue for you to socialise, meet up and enjoy the camaraderie for which the event is renowned.
The 2014 program includes more than 30 sports including a vast array of team sports such as softball, touch football, soccer, basketball and baseball, as well as individual sports ranging from swimming, athletics, tennis to archery.
All sports are located in close proximity to the Games Village which becomes an exclusive hub for competitors to meet up, socialise and enjoy the camaraderie the event is renowned for.
The slogan of the Pan Pacific Masters Games is 'Playit, Live it, Love it!' which encapsulates its competitive, participatory and social environment.
